Through the fall of each school 12 months, I travel…a lot. I wake up early, catch flights across the country, and search the Hertz parking great deal for rental cars with backup cameras. During this time around, I’m rarely at my desk, we’m meeting a lot of awesome students, and learning about the cool and exciting things students are doing. Nevertheless when i am not on an airplane or at the rental automobile countertop, here’s just what I’m probably doing…
- Interviews and Receptions and High School visits
Check your high school’s hallways for our visit posters. If we have been coming to your school over the next little while you should see our poster outside your guidance workplace. We will also be Discover that is doing USC on campus and through the United States and abroad.
- Hoarding Pens
If there is something you should bring with that you senior high school visit, it’s a pen. We shall provide one thing to write in, but we don’t supply one thing to write with. We give some pretty information that is useful these visits, so it’s generally beneficial to write down a few notes. Last i visited schools in southern Virginia week. I started the week with about ten pens that are extra ended with two.
- Responding to questions
We fork out a lot of time answering concerns while we travel (and really through the entire year.) But, when we’re on the road, this is our central mission. We try to respond to all of this relevant question you have while we are in your area. SO, the best piece of advice I can provide you is ASK YOUR ISSUES. It is also better to answer questions when we are standing in front of you then to later email us.
- Sitting in my own car
We sit within my car…a lot… often it feels than I do in the actual high school like I spend more time in my car. Often I’ll check Facebook (i am old) or Snapchat, and make some updates that are funny the newest filters (lately the bunny is my favorite.) Inevitably I end up sitting in my own car much longer than I should as I’m (still) listening to Hamilton and trying out my most useful (read worst) rap skills. That reminds me! Anybody filling out the Quick Takes yet? Remember, brief, sweet, and just be YOU! This is not a trick.
- Consuming local but drinking Starbucks
Have any good restaurant recommendations that are not Chipotle? Send them our way! We love to explore urban centers and discover about where your home is. Understanding where you come from, helps us understand your application. We need to get a feel for the community and experience what you encounter on a daily basis. I tried a phenomenal place that is greek week that was in a completely random location…thanks Yelp!
